Where is the best place to get an investor in the fashion field?

Where is the best place to get an investor in the fashion field?

I'm almost finished with my business plan and it's a pretty complete one. I have all of overhead expenses, cost of production, break-even volume all figued out, all I need now is the distribution strategy to complete. Once it's there, with who do I need to speak with and are most investors usually willing to let the designer work from a seperate location? I'm in Detroit. Not an easy zone to get work from, but my ears are open to any advise. Thanx!
