How do you write an accurate cash flow statement for a business plan if you're buying a franchise?

  1. The same way you write it for any other business, except you will have franchise fees included in your costs of sales.
  2. Talk to other franchisees and go to http://www.score.org/template_gallery.ht... and download the Excel template for estimating start up costs.
  3. It would be nice to be that accurate, but it is always a guess because no one can tell the future....
    Budgets for everything
    Good luck
  4. I would suggest you reach out to other franchises and/or the franchise director for guidance. The basic fundamentals behind a franchise is to provide you a turn key support for your business. They should have some templates available for you to use.

If not, I would suggest picking up some small business software such as quick books or similar product. These products allow you to enter your daily understandable finacial data then quantify them into your cash flow charts.

I personally use quickbooks to monitor my book of business. It has a lot of tool built into it to track & trend my profits/expenses and allows me to simulate changes prior to making them.
